Congrats 323_Efreet!!!
Congratulations to the following pilots for "TWO" years of exceptional service with the VMFA-323 "Death Rattlers" 323_Doc 323_Gatlingun 323_Efreet 323_Camaro Thank all of you for a job well done !!!
The Training/Combat status and Greenie Board Page goes "Live" Thanks to 323_Efreet for developing a program to track the training and combat status for the pilots of the VMFA-323. Now pilots can view their training progress, sign up for check rides, and view their combat status. Training involves four tiers. Crews progress from combat capable (when they leave theFRS) to combat ready to combat qualified. The last step in the progression is fully combat qualified, which involves the attainment of core-plus skills. Unit training programs are based on multitiered combat training phases for individual members. The "Greenie Board" represents the "grades" for the "Traps" (landings) by the VMFA-323 Pilots Life for a Marine aviator begins and ends at the "Greenie Board" More detail on VMFA training can be found Here To view the Training /Combat Status page go Here To View the VMFA-323 Greenie board Developed by 323_Efreet go Here Links can also be found at the top of the home page of the VMFA-323. The VMFA-323 would like to thank and congratulate Efreet for all his hard work and dedication on the new Greenie board and Training/Combat status sections For the "Death Rattlers" 323_Efreet is here by awarded the Meritorious Service ribbon for outstanding Non-Combat achievement or service.
Congrats 323_Efreet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well Done
Senior Advisory Board established Senior Advisory Board
Gatlingun (Chairman) Efreet Slam Daedalus Recent Senior Advisory Board Accomplishments Slam: completed work on all four tiers of the new squadron qualifcation program, due for release this week. Daedalus: is working hard on a dedicated VPN (Virtual Private Network) for the squadron to use on it's flights. We're hopeful the VPN will greatly reduce any lag we have during missions and will decreased bugs created during flight caused by a pilot's slow internet connections (which cause many problems during flight). Efreet: completed a Ventrilo setup guide and online pilot qualification records database (on a seperate server!) that pilots can use to track their progress and instructors can update - FANTASTIC!!! Gatlingun: has been on travel for the past week, but has continued to work hard on the squadron website and handle new member applications. Thanks Jack, you rarely get the credit for all you do for us. Daedalus, Efreet, and Slam: spent 3 hours on the Vent server last Sunday working to finalize the new qual/re-qual program and several key 323 Policies. They also made a very late night hop and re-qualified Case I. Thanks again guys, we all benefit from your dedication to our group, your experience, and your team work. How does someone get selected as a Board Member? Members are selected from a pool of Tier III qualified pilots and have volunteered to devote personal time to working various projects that benefit the squadron and it's membership. Most squadron related decisions are handled by the board, who make final recommendations to Doc and Gatlingun.
